Graduated from Bosporus University Sociology Department, she worked many years for the British Consulate as Commercial Attaché and advised on myriad of areas such as construction, architecture and museums. She volunteered for NGOs most of her life and finally worked at Gaziantep for three years as project coordinator for the UNIDO. Her work consisted of planning and executing the implementation of apparel vocational training inside the refugee camps which continued to function as workshops subsequently under her supervision. She's interested in all handcrafts, but mostly traditional architecture. Besides her native Turkish, she is fluent in English and still working on her Arabic.
