Hellen Almoustafa: culture heritage expert, she holds a PhD in ancient near eastern Archaeology from University of Sapienza (Rome), MA. In museums and cultural project management, she has many years of research and work experience in fields related to tangible and intangible heritage, museums, world heritage sites, cultural dialogue and development, tourism development, in addition to archaeological preservation. Has participated in many archaeological missions in Syria and Iraq, she is currently focusing on saving cultural heritage and the rehabilitation of damaged archaeological sites especially in the conflict zones, also working on raising awareness about the value of nation’s heritage and the importance of this heritage in the economic chain. She has participated in many international and regional conferences and workshops. Beside her native Arabic, she speaks English, Italian, Kurdish, and basic Turkish.
